Why are languages sometimes mixed on your website?
All the text on our website is in origin English. We tried to translate the most important informational text into local languages. We always express brand messages in English.

How much does shipping costs?
We offer free shipping on all orders within Europe.
Not from Europe? The shipping costs are only €20.

When will my order ship?
Your order will be shipped within one business day. In other words: we ship our products from Monday - Friday until 23:00.
Example: if you order your product on a Saturday your order will be shipped on Monday.

What is the lifetime warranty?
We offer a lifetime warranty (only) on our slic. casseroles. That means, if at any point in the lifetime of your cookware it becomes unusable due to normal non-commercial use, we'll replace it, free of charge.
Important to know: we provide the lifetime warranty on the cast-iron material (so the base and foundation of your casserole) and not on the enamel interior layer and / or to the outside coloring layer and / or on the stainless steel knob.
Obviously we threat each unlikely warranty request case by case so in the event anything happened just send us an email and we take great care of your request.
How can slic. offer such a quality casserole for only €95?
We ask ourselves that every day. The answer is a lot of middle-men, a big corporate team to pay, and huge marketing expenses that someone has to pay.
slic. is paving the new way of direct to consumer cookware. We are the only middle-man. That means no brick and mortar relationships, no distributors, no sales reps to pay commissions to, and nothing else. From the factory to you. That's why!
Are your products dishwasher safe?
Yes! That said, we always recommend hand-washing for a few reasons:
A) It's easy. The enameled interior and exterior should be easy to clean. If it's extra-dirty, try a little kosher salt to scrub or an overnight soak with light dish soap usually helps and is more effective than a dishwasher, anyhow!
B) Dishwashers can be abusive. Over time, they'll wear enamel down much quicker than if you hand-wash your new cookware. Just a heads up!
What's the best way to clean my slic. ?
We recommend by hand, with a sponge and some soft soap. You can totally put it in the dishwasher but you can expect it to have a longer life outside of it!
If there's food being stubborn and sticking, we recommend a light soap and warm water soak overnight. By the morning, you should be all good!
What cooking surfaces does my pot work on?
slic. cookware works everywhere you need it to. That means on your stove top, in the oven up to 230 degrees celsius and on induction. Bon Appetit!
Is my new cookware non-stick?
We don't believe in non-stick surfaces, but rather, naturally non-stick properties. While our enamel is not specifically non-stick, with the right technique, it's just as non-stick as you'd hope.
Is the enamel surface scratch-resistant?
Enamel is a type of glass, so it's mostly scratch-resistant, but we'd prefer if you didn't test it.
Over time, you'll begin to see slight signs of wear, most of which can be cleaned with a little warm water and soap or some bar keepers friend.
If you cook a lot, you might see gray feathering that occurs naturally. That's a byproduct of the enamel expanding and contracting over time with exposure to lots of heating and cooling.
Not to worry, this won't affect your cooking and only makes your pot look cooler!
Why is cast iron so heavy?
Cast Iron is heavy, by nature. The thicker the walls are, the better the heat retention!
What does cast iron consist of?
Cast iron is a compound of carbon-enriched iron. It also contains silicone, manganese, phosphorus, and sulfur.
Where is slic. cookware made?
We proudly make our cookware in China, just outside of Beijing. We've spent a lot of hours there working with the engineering team and it's a pretty incredible operation!
What kind of steel do you use for your knives?
Our Chef, Slicing & utility knives are made with high quality German steel. A high-carbon stainless steel that offers a great balance of edge retention and durability.
Where are your knives made?
Our knives are made with imported German steel and manufactured just outside of Shanghai.
How often should I sharpen my knife?
How often you need to sharpen your knife depends on how often you use it! At a minimum, we'd suggest 1-2 times a year.
How should I clean my knives?
We highly recommend washing your knives by hand with soap and warm water and drying immediately afterwards.
Please do not put your slic. knives (or any high quality kitchen knife) in the dishwasher. Dishwashers can dull or even damage knife blades and handles.
How should I store my knives?
Please don't store your knives unprotected in a drawer! Other items in the drawer can damage the edge and the knife itself could injure wayward hands reaching in.
Magnetic strips, knife blocks, knife trays, and blade guards all have their advantages, and we’d suggest choosing the one that works best for you.
Is my bamboo cutting board dishwasher proof?
Yes absolutely! But please bear in mind it's just like your pair of jeans: handwash keeps your product prettier and longer lasting.
How do do I clean my bamboo cutting board?
Preferably by hand with some (warm) water and non-aggressive soap. Cleaning by dishwasher is absolutely fine but please bear in mind it's just like your pair of jeans: handwash keeps your product prettier and longer lasting.
